Terry Tao

Donor administrator and co-founder of B-BLUE

Terry Tao is a managing partner lawyer at a law firm specializing in public works, construction, construction litigation, and general business advice for California public entities including California School Districts, Community Colleges and Cities. He serves on B-BLUE board of directors as chairperson for his commitment to ocean ecology and preservation projects in southern Belize. 

Randy Tucker

Seaweed farmer representative of Placencia

Randy Tucker is a local seaweed farmer and managing committee member of the Placencia Producers Cooperative Society Limited (PPCSL).  Randy sustainably farm seaweed (Eucheuma isiforme and Gracilaria crassissima) both red algae species at sites near Placencia Village. He serves on B-BLUE board of director as community representative of Placencia Village.

Ruth Gutierrez

Co-founder and director of B-BLUE

Ruth Gutierrez is an enthusiastic and innovative youth leader in the field of aquaculture, natural and marine resources management and science. She is currently the national coordinator for the Commonwealth Youth Climate Change Network in Belize and project coordinator for Independence Youth Action Movement (I-YAM). With a focus on environmental restoration and climate change impacts on both the green and blue economy. She serves on B-BLUE board of directors as a youth representative. She has been shaping the future of young environmentalist through the various professional networks and mentorship programs in her community and in extension in the region.

Tanya Neal

Community leader of Independence & Placencia Village

Tanya Neal is an experienced accountant and manager at one of the biggest seafood private companies in Belize. She is a passionate community leader for women organizations including elderly groups. She serves on B-BLUE board of directors as a community leader of both Independence and Placencia Village.

Antonio Shol

Community leader of Golden Stream and Tambran Village

Antonio Shol is a dynamic and motivational community leader of two Mayan Communities in Toledo District. He is currently a supervisor in one of the biggest botanical gardens and agricultural farms focused on cultivating spices, fruits and exotic commodities such as the highly valued cacao beans. He serves on B-BLUE board of directors as a community representative of Golden Stream and Tambran Village.
