B-BLUE Hub
Our facility, known as B-BLUE Hub, caters to project volunteers, research teams, student groups, short-term mission teams, and individuals interested in participating in short-term projects with us, such as company trips, team-building events, and family and friend gatherings.
B-BLUE Hub offers various amenities, including dining areas, wet lab rooms, a conference room, and outdoor recreation areas equipped with facilities for volleyball, beach pickleball, fishing docks, and hammocks. We also provide laundry services for the convenience of our guests. Additionally, there is a small convenience store available on-site.
Furthermore, B-BLUE Hub regularly hosts visits from Belizean cultural groups, featuring activities such as Garifuna drumming and dance performances, Mayan cacao ceremonies, and interactions with local/international experts and specialists. These experts offer workshops on diverse subjects like seaweed soap-making, Mayan cooking, introduction to Mayan medicinal plants and herbs, Belizean archaeology and history appreciation, and birdwatching, all aimed at enriching the experience for our guests.
Accommodation
B-BLUE Hub is nestled along the coastline of Independence Village, Stann Creek District, Belize, Central America, amid the serene beauty of mangroves and Placencia's freshwater lagoon. Positioned just a 5-minute boat ride away from the renowned tourist and fishing town of Placencia, B-BLUE Hub stands out as the sole hostel and resort capable of accommodating large private groups. Its secluded location offers guests a sense of exclusivity, all while ensuring their safety through round-the-clock monitoring by dedicated security teams.
A minimum stay of 3 nights is required for all visitors, allowing groups to fully immerse themselves in short-term missions or projects while also indulging in the myriad offerings of B-BLUE.

Hibiscus, the central building of B-BLUE, boasts 2 spacious dorm rooms and 3 en-suite rooms, each complete with its own full bathroom. The dormitories feature 18 bunk beds with attached bathrooms, including 3 sets of shower stalls, toilets, and sinks. Additionally, each dorm room is outfitted with private lockers for individual beds.

On the lower level of Hibiscus, guests will find a reception area, a fully-equipped office/library, a communal space for meetings and presentations, wet lab rooms, a fully functional kitchen, and an indoor dining hall adjacent to an outdoor dining palapa. WiFi and cellular network coverage are available throughout the property.
There are three cabins: Tapir, Toucan, and Dolphin.

Each cabin is equipped with 1 or 2 bedrooms, a living room, and a veranda for enjoying the scenic view of the lagoon, the evening breeze, and the starry sky. Every bedroom features a queen-size bed and an attached full bathroom. Additionally, each cabana is equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning units.

Boat captain charter services
The boat captain and head of tours operations at BBLUE is Leonel Tucker, better known as "Randy". He has been with BBLUE for 10 years and is a great ambassador for both BBLUE, the Placencia cooperative, and the Placencia Tour Guiding Association.

Based at the BBLUE Hub campus, Randy is committed to assisting each guest with their charter and tour services. As head of tours operations, Randy serves as the guide for all guests interested in exploring Placencia village, surrounding cayes, and engaging in numerous recreational adventures such as snorkeling, swimming, or diving. He also arranges land tours for guests interested in experiencing Belize's flora, fauna, caves, Mayan ruins, and jungle tours.

Land Charters:
Private land charters are available from Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City to BBLUE Hub. This is a 2.5-hour drive. At the airport, there are various car and van rental options at affordable prices, which can be arranged upon arrival.
Guests also have the option to book a flight from Belize City to Independence village, which is a 15 to 20-minute plane flight. From Independence (Maya Island Air) to BBLUE Hub, a van can be arranged for pick-ups for a small fee of $10 USD per person. This can also be arranged upon arrival. BBLUE has a concierge who assists guests with these arrangements.
Important Note: Prices for other private land charters vary based on time and destination. Car rentals, vans, and other private taxis are available within these locations, Independence village and Placencia village, and can also be arranged by the BBLUE Hub concierge.
Payments
To secure a reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost is required at the time of booking and will be deducted from the final amount due. An invoice will be issued upon reservation confirmation, with payment expected in full no later than 30 days prior to the arrival date.

Payment options include check (no processing fee) or credit card (subject to a 3% processing fee). Any additional charges incurred during the stay will be invoiced post-departure and must be settled in full within two weeks after the completion of the stay. Any outstanding fees beyond the due date are subject to a 3% increase every 15-day period thereafter.
​
Cancellation policies are as follows: cancellations made 60 days or more before the arrival date will receive a full refund, minus the deposit. Cancellations made 30 to 59 days before the arrival date will receive a 50% refund, minus the deposit. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date are non-refundable.
