What We Do

B-BLUE is involved in diverse projects aimed at creating better opportunities for the people of Belize. These projects cover a variety of activities, such as studying land and sea ecosystems, keeping track of progress, carrying out environmental conservation and restoration work, and helping students, farmers, fishermen, and tour guides gain knowledge and skills through local, regional, and international knowledge-sharing programs.

B-BLUE consists of five programs focused on creating sustainable livelihoods and implementing environmental restoration strategies in delicate ecosystems. Here's an overview of each program:

Description of Programs

Environmental Restoration Projects Program

This program is dedicated to environmental restoration efforts. We work on projects aimed at rejuvenating natural ecosystems, preventing natural disasters, and protecting or restoring endangered species. Our team engages in activities such as habitat restoration, disaster mitigation, and wildlife conservation.

Sustainable Aquaculture Development Program

This program focuses on promoting sustainable aquaculture practices. It aims to improve the productivity and sustainability of aquaculture operations while preserving marine ecosystems. We offer training, resources, and support to communities and organizations involved in aquaculture activities, with a special emphasis on empowering women to take leadership roles and establish their own women-run aquaculture initiatives.

Sustainable Agriculture Development Program

Our Sustainable Agriculture Development Program collaborates with Mayan communities in Southern Belize to strengthen local livelihoods and conserve cultural heritage. This initiative concentrates on cultivating traditional crops like cacao, turmeric, ginger, and more. We provide resources and assistance for farming communities to enhance their agricultural practices, with a specific focus on empowering women through women-run agricultural initiatives that provide an additional source of income.

Research Hub and International Exchange Program

Our Research Hub and International Exchange Program serves as a hub for global collaboration in various fields, including environmental restoration, natural disaster prevention, endangered species protection/restoration, and plastic trash recycling. We facilitate international exchange programs, research initiatives, and knowledge sharing among experts and students interested in these critical areas.

Group Project Design Services

This program offers design services for short-term and long-term group projects, including mission teams, schools, team-building events, business/family retreats, and more. Our team of experienced designers helps create tailored experiences and materials to enhance the success of your projects and events.
